Our Story

The Boathouse is the operational headquarters of Blue Heron Adventures, Catawba Riverkeeper’s recreation arm.

It serves as a place for Catawba Riverkeeper to engage visitors and residents alike with their most precious natural resource and educate them on ways they can help protect it.

At The Boathouse, you can rent a kayak/canoe/SUP, meet for a guided tour through the South Fork rapids, shop sustainable apparel, and enjoy snacks, local craft beer, and soft drinks. The Boathouse is also home to Jam at the Dam, Catawba Riverkeeper’s live music event series.
