Catawba Riverkeeper moved our headquarters to McAdenville, NC this year. To jump into the town’s famous holiday spirit, Catawba Riverkeeper is hosting Christmas Events throughout December!

The Boathouse will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the month December until the Christmas lights turn off in McAdenville.

Enjoy some hot cocoa and FREE parking at The Boathouse before walking through Christmas Town to see the Christmas Lights. Take our 0.25 mile trail of Christmas lights leading from The Boathouse straight onto Main Street.

Where can I park?

FREE parking is available at The Boathouse and in our auxiliary parking lots. Turn onto Dickson Road (off of Main Street near I-85). Follow the signs down the road to the parking areas.

If parking in the auxiliary lots, cut through the lighted foot path to get to The Boathouse and the trail to Main Street.What are the Holiday hours at The Boathouse?

The Boathouse will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4-10 PM starting December 3.

The Boathouse will also be open for special events on November 27 (Christmastown 5K), December 1 (Tree Lighting), and December 16 (Yule Log Ceremony) from 4-10 PM.

How long are the lights in McAdenville lit?

The lights are lit every night from 5:30-10 PM December 1-26.

Help guests have a magical night walking through the Christmas lights! Volunteers are needed to help direct parking and to support The Boathouse staff.
